The beginning of Willowbrook Wood.
Starting with Oscar the Bear, Lottie the Rabbit and Ollie the mouse, Willowbrook Wood was created as the home for all of Hannah's illustrated critters and creatures. Hannah hopes that children and adults alike will get lost in this woodland world and all of its different characters, personalities and stories. The goal of Willowbrook Wood is to add a touch more whimsy, imagination and creativity to everyone's lives no matter if they are big or small.

Hello there
Hannah has always been a creative and imaginative soul and from a young age, has taken up a great interest with the world and stories of Beatrix Potter and the Hundred Acre Wood. After years of avoiding the inevitable, Hannah leaned into her creative side and started Mick Makes in 2024. A small brand which she used as a creative outlet for drawing, sewing and clay sculpting. She also started selling sewing patterns on Etsy under the same name and participated in many markets around the Western Cape. Eventually, Mick Makes started showcasing more of Hannah's illustration more than anything else and her first woodland characters were born. This drew her to focus largely on Illustration and develop the world of Willowbrook Wood.
